• Tax Optimization Maestro: Become the architect of the company’s tax strategies, minimizing tax burdens and maximizing financial efficiency. Your deep understanding of Senegalese tax law and your ability to apply it strategically will be instrumental in the company’s success.
• Financial Analyst Extraordinaire: Delve into the numbers to uncover insights that drive decision-making. Your analytical prowess will help the company identify opportunities for growth and ensure transparency in financial reporting.
• Accounting Architect: Build and maintain a robust accounting structure that aligns with both international (IFRS) and local standards. Your meticulous approach will ensure compliance and provide a solid foundation for the company’s financial operations.
• Compliance Champion: Be the guardian of financial integrity, ensuring meticulous adherence to tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Your vigilance will protect the company’s reputation and financial health.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Planning: Strategize and implement tax plans, focusing on optimizing corporate income tax, VAT, property tax, and withholding taxes.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive tax schemas for interest and dividend calculations. Leverage your expertise in transfer pricing to categorize and optimize tax procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of Senegalese tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s operations remain fully compliant. Build strong relationships with local authorities and handle tax filings meticulously.
• Accounting and Reporting: Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations. Oversee the preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports.
• Financial Management: Model depreciation scenarios, plan asset capitalization, and assess inter-company transactions. Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets and trial balances.
• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

• Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Expertise: Proven experience (5-7+ years) in Senegalese accounting, taxation, and reporting, ideally in the energy sector. Strong knowledge of IFRS, local tax laws, and customs procedures.
• Analytical Skills: A meticulous eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in SAGE accounting software and other relevant financial tools.
• Team Player: A collaborative spirit, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.
